A major tea growing region in India. These black teas are known for their strong malty flavor.

Our Assam tea comes from the plains of India, just below the border with Bhutan. Assam is one of the most important tea growing regions, and the Nahorhabi Estate consistently produces great teas. The 2000 harvest is delicious. This a bold, malty black tea with lots of character and taste - not for the weak of heart or palate. A great brew for the morning - or an afternoon pick me up. Be careful of oversteeping, as it may get bitter. Strong enough for milk and sugar if that’s your pleasure.
